Severe Storms and Flooding Potential for the Central U.S.; Hazardous Heat in the South

Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday across parts of the Middle-Mississippi and Lower Ohio Valleys. Scattered flash flooding, damaging winds and large hail are possible. Widespread maximum temperatures are forecast to range from the upper 90s to triple digits across the Southwest into the central Gulf Coast this week. Heat indices may reach or exceed 110 degrees.
