Since there is a threat of hazardous weather today, the test will be postponed until the next available good weather day. The NWS Houston radio test is usually scheduled every Wednesday between 11 am and noon.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop Wednesday as a cold front moves slowly across southeast Texas. Highest rainfall totals of 1-2 inches with locally higher amounts of 3-5 inches are expected mainly along and south of I-10. Minor flooding of urban and low lying areas will be possible. A few storms could become strong to severe with isolated damaging wind gusts being the main threat.

A weak cold front moving through the area this afternoon/tonight will bring increased chance of showers and thunderstorms. Drier and slightly cooler conditions are expected to prevail Thursday through the weekend.
