Today will be warm with highs in the upper 70s/lower 80s. Scattered showers and storms will be possible with rain chances at 50-70% during the daytime, then around 20% at night. Overnight conditions will be cool with lows in the 60s/lower 70s.
There is a high risk for strong rip currents along the Gulf facing beaches today through this weekend. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore.
Saturday will be warm with highs in the upper 70s/mid 80s. Scattered showers and storms will be possible with rain chances at 20-60% during the daytime, then around 20% at night. Overnight conditions will be cool with lows in the 60s/lower 70s.
Key Messages: Scattered showers and thunderstorms are anticipated on Sunday. Storms will be capable of producing higher rainfall rates, and may train over the same spots. Marginal Risk (level 1 of 4) of Excessive Rainfall across portions of the Brazos Valley/Piney Woods area.
