URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 37 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 350 PM EDT SUN MAR 28 2010 THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST GEORGIA WEST CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL AND UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 350 PM UNTIL 1100 PM EDT. TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS. THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES WEST OF ATHENS GEORGIA TO 35 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF CHARLOTTE NORTH CAROLINA.
