Additional Severe Weather Concerns for the Center of the Nation; Heat Builds for the West; Critical Fire Weather for Alaska

Active hazardous weather continues for the center of the nation with more severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall today. Heat will linger across the southern Plains, then expand westward early in the week. Overview

The winter of 2023-2024 was the warmest winter on record for much of Southwest Michigan.

Winter weather primarily occurred during a two week period in January and that is shown in a graph under the "Temperature Data" tab.
