Remnants of Arthur and Heavy Rainfall Across the South; Fire Weather Threat in the West

Life-threatening, potentially catastrophic flash flooding expected along the central Gulf Coast as the remnants of Arthur track across the area. Isolated brief tornadoes and damaging gusts remain possible overnight in the Southeast. November 27th, 2019: Strong Winds, High Waves, and Beach Erosion

On Wednesday, November 27th, 2019, a storm system brought high winds and large waves to the West Michigan lakeshore and much of southern Lower Peninsula. Wind gusts topped 50 mph and waves grew to more than 10 feet in height, downing trees, power poles, and causing significant beach and sand dune erosion.
