Powerful Pacific System Impacting the West; First Significant Snow for Portions of the East

Power Pacific system will continue to bring significant impacts for Pacific Northwest into northern California the remainder of the week. Dangerous coastal affects, heavy rain, flooding, strong winds, and higher elevation mountain snow continues. A pleasant weekend is ahead with temperatures warming back up into above normal territory Saturday and Sunday. Skies will remain clear to mostly clear with light southerly winds today through Saturday. Winds will pick up on Sunday with gusts reaching 25-30 mph during the day.
Looking ahead into Thanksgiving Week --> A dry cold front will move through the region on Monday followed by cooler weather on Tuesday. Another system will approach around mid-week with some rain chances across the eastern counties on Wednesday. It is still too early to know specific details about Thanksgiving Day, but at this time it looks like it will be a cool one.
