Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop along a cold front this afternoon across North Texas and continue into tonight. The main threat this afternoon will be along the I-20 corridor and will shift south and east tonight. While a few strong storms will be possible with gusty winds, locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning will be the main threats.
Storm chances will continue Wednesday night as a weak cold front sags south through the region. Rain and storm chances will shift mainly into Central and East Texas on Thursday.
There will be plenty of sunshine Friday and Saturday, but showers and thunderstorms may disrupt outdoor plans. Clouds and rain chances will increase on Sunday when there may be some heavy rainfall.
