A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for all of Central Alabama on Saturday from 7 am to 7 pm. Sustained winds 10-15 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph, are expected, along with minimum relative humidity below 25 percent. Steps to take include avoiding open flames, keeping vehicles away from dry grass, and property discarding cigarettes and similar items.
Above-normal temperatures are forecast for Friday, with a brief weekend cooldown to seasonable temperatures before rebounding back to above-normal next week. There is little to no chance for rain over the next few days.
Patchy fog early this morning, with a low chance of rain showers across the north this afternoon. Highs in the low to mid 80s.
Low chance for rain early this evening, with decreasing clouds late tonight. Cooler with lows from the upper 30s far north to the lower 50s far south. Breezy with northerly winds gusting to 20-30 mph.
