There is a level 1 out of 5 risk for severe weather on Friday from 9 am to 4 pm for part of central Alabama. Threats include a brief tornado and damaging wind gusts.
Rain chances will remain each day into next week. Overall, 4-5" accumulations are possible in the west and 1.5-2.5" in the east. However, locally higher amounts are possible in any stronger storms that move over the same areas.
