A Heat Advisory is currently in effect through Saturday evening. Afternoon heat index values will climb above 105 degrees across Central Alabama. The combination of heat and humidity will cause heat stress for those without adequate cooling and hydration. Practice heat safety if spending time outdoors. For tonight across Central Alabama, a few showers & thunderstorms will linger into the evening, with decreasing clouds late. Overnight low temperatures will be in the middle 70s. Winds will be calm to light, except in or near thunderstorms.
