A risk for flash flooding will be in the forecast again today, as storms develop and slowly move southeastward. Due to already saturated soil conditions from recent rains, we may see an increased chance for flash flooding in some locations. Remember to never cross flooded roadways!
A Flood Watch is in effect for much of Central Alabama through 7pm this evening. Additional heavy rains falling on already saturated ground could produce additional flooding, especially within urban and low-lying areas.
Widespread showers and storms are expected to develop this morning and last through the evening hours. Some storms will produce heavy rainfall which could lead to localized flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect through 7pm.
Showers and storms are expected to diminish after sunset, with lingering rain chances across the southern half of Central Alabama. Lows will be near 70 degrees.
Widespread showers and storms return once again during the day on Sunday, with best coverage during the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 80s.
