NBM Snow Level Forecast
These graphics show the 8-day snow level forecast from the National Blend of Models (NBM). These are produced and posted to the web once per day at 15Z (7am AKDT/6am AKST) from the most current run of the NBM.
The NBM Snow Level is determined from the wet-bulb zero level, which is the lowest level in a sounding at which the wet-bulb temperature is 0°C. The units are feet above mean sea level. If a location's elevation is higher than the given snow level, then the user should interpret that the snow level is at the surface.
