Fire Weather Concerns for Southern California; Wind and Snow for the Northern Plains and Rockies

An upper level trough will impact the central and northern Rockies including the Great Basin today with moderate to locally heavy snow showers and gusty winds. After compiling all the reports coming in and viewing data sources from satellite, we have made a final snowfall totals map for the combined Panhandles for the January 9-10, 2025 event. The main snow band that developed near and south of the Canadian River produced widespread 6-12" of snow where snowfall amounts north and south of that snow band dropped off quite a bit, some areas within a very short distance.
