A wetter weather pattern is expected next week, featuring periods of chilly rain. Scattered showers are forecast overnight Saturday into Sunday. A widespread, soaking rain is forecast Monday night into Tuesday morning. Rainfall will be heavy at times, generally for locations southeast of Interstate 59. A break in wet weather should occur midweek before yet another chance for showers arrives late in the week.

Rain will gradually spread across the region overnight as a cold front moves through. We won't be quite as cold with lows settling into the upper 30s to mid 40s. Winds will be a bit breezier with southeasterly gusts up to 25 MPH.
A rainy day is expected on Sunday as the front continues to push through. Shower activity comes to an end during the late afternoon hours. Highs look to settle into the low 50s to low 60s. Winds turn to the northwest from 5-10 MPH.
