Persistent onshore flow across the Southeast and portions of the mid-Atlantic will keep the risk of rip currents through the weekend. Rainfall could be locally heavy across Florida, especially along the eastern shoreline. Meanwhile, record warmth for portions of the Plains and Midwest with elevated fire concerns. Congratulations to David! We received 8 valid entries - THANK YOU. The judges were very impressed. They said it was hard choosing the winner. Northeastern Wyoming and western South Dakota residents had plenty of furious natural events to capture this summer. The photographs depicted this fact most excellently.
