Super Typhoon Sinlaku to Impact the Marianas and Guam; Severe Weather Threat from the Central Plains to the Great Lakes

Super Typhoon Sinlaku will bring destructive winds, widespread heavy rain/flooding, and thunderstorms to the Marianas Islands into Wednesday. Tropical Storm conditions are likely over Guam. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain are likely across the Upper Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes region with potential for large to very large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes through Tuesday. Overview

Thunderstorms developed quickly during the morning of June 2, 2019. A supercell thunderstorm formed near Tilford, South Dakota and moved through Rapid City, Hermosa, and Fairburn before dissipating by late afternoon. This storm produced large hail, which damaged homes, vehicles, and crops.
