A series of Pacific storm systems will continue to impact the Northwest U.S. into this coming weekend with periods of gusty winds, high surf, low elevation rain, and heavy mountain snow. Severe thunderstorms developed across northeastern Wyoming and western South Dakota during the afternoon of Saturday, July 16. Strong winds knocked down trees, destroyed a shed, moved a car, tipped a travel trailer, and and caused damage to a home northeast of Newell. A tree also fell on a car in Rapid City.
