Severe Thunderstorms Across the Central Plains; Hot Conditions in the Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley

Severe thunderstorms are expected mainly from Kansas into northern Missouri and into Iowa Tuesday. Damaging winds will be the most likely threat, with large hail possible. An Enhanced Risk (level 3 of 5) of severe thunderstorms is in effect. Pushmataha County (Adel) Tornado

 

A tornado occurred in Atoka County 3 miles northeast of Daisy and lifted 2.75 miles west-southwest of Adel in Pushmataha County. The tornado was rated an EF2 and had a 3.5 mile long track with a maximum width of 100 yards.
