A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for much of southeast Oklahoma and also west central Arkansas Thursday afternoon through Friday morning for the potential of heavy snowfall.
A winter storm is forecast to move through the region Thursday and Friday with increasing potential for winter weather impacts across much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Uncertainties remain with the exact track of the system, which impacts precipitation types and amounts, especially across southeast Oklahoma. Continue to monitor latest forecasts as details become more certain.
Winter storm system forecast to move through the region Thursday and Friday has a medium chance of bringing Moderate snow impacts to much of eastern OK and northwest AR. Confidence in the details remains low at this point so expect changes in the forecast. However, the overall potential for winter weather continues to increase with the greater potential south of Interstate 40. Keep checking the latest forecasts for the most up-to-date information.
