A low chance of severe storms will exist tonight in parts of southeast Oklahoma, primarily in the time window from 9 pm Tuesday to 3 am Wednesday. Hail up to quarter size and wind gusts up to 60 mph will be the main threats with the strongest storms. Have at least 3 ways to receive weather and warning information.
Multiple opportunities for much needed rainfall arrive late this week and continue into the weekend, which would improve the persistent fire weather concerns. Parts of southeast Oklahoma and into western Arkansas have the best chance for rainfall through the weekend. Severe thunderstorm chances increase this weekend, with Sunday currently featuring the best chance focused across far eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas ahead of a dryline. Large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes are all potential severe weather threats.
