Gusty southwest to west winds expected. In the mountains, peak gusts of 50 to 60 mph with local gusts to 65 mph possible on the desert slopes of the San Bernardino mountains. In the deserts, peak gusts of 45 to 55 mph, locally up to 60 mph through the San Gorgonio Pass. Winds will weaken Wednesday.

Light rain showers are expected Tuesday night into Wednesday. Hourly rainfall rates are expected to be 0.10" or less. Rainfall totals of up to 0.10" possible for the coast and valleys, with totals 0.10-0.25" possible in the mountains. The coastal slopes of the San Bernardino mountains are expected to see the most rainfall accumulation.

Forecast high temperatures for Southern California for Tuesday Apr 21, 2026. For the coastal areas: 67 to 72, western valleys and inland Orange County: 70 to 74, inland valleys: 68 to 75, mountains between 4000 ft and 7000 ft: 55 to 68, high desert: 69 to 81, low desert: 85 to 91.
