...Damaging Downburst Winds and Flash Flooding Affect The Ozarks...

Several clusters of thunderstorms developed over portions of the Missouri Ozarks into southeast Kansas during the late afternoon and evening hours on July 16th, 2010.  A few of these storms produced 50 to 60 mph damaging downburst winds in addition to several inches of rainfall within a short period of time which led to localized flash flooding.
