...ANOTHER WINTER STORM BRINGS HEAVY SNOW TO THE OZARKS REGION...

A POTENT WINTER STORM PRODUCED A SWATH OF SNOW AND TREACHEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ACROSS SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND SOUTHERN MISSOURI SUNDAY. ACCUMULATIONS OF 8 TO 12 INCHES FELL OVER PORTIONS OF FAR SOUTHWEST MISSOURI WITH TOTALS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES COMMON ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHERN MISSOURI AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS. 

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI HAS RECORDED 7.5 INCHES OF SNOW THROUGH 9 PM SUNDAY EVENING. THIS BRINGS OUR SEASONAL TOTAL UP TO 37.4 INCHES WHICH MAKES THIS THE 4TH GREATEST SNOWFALL FOR A WINTER SEASON.
