Thunderstorms and Widespread Rainfall Across the Southern Plains

Isolated severe thunderstorms and widespread showers may produce flash flooding across the Southern Plains through Thursday. Numerous instances of flash flooding are expected in south-central Texas, including portions of the Hill Country; and an additional area across eastern Oklahoma into the Ozarks on Thursday. Overview

Two rounds of strong to severe storms moved across the Missouri Ozarks and southeast Kansas on Monday, August 26th. Each round of storms produced widespread wind damage. Some locations experienced winds over 80 mph!! Several reports of hail to the size of half dollars were received. Localized flooding occurred over central Missouri, where heavy rainfall occurred with both rounds of storms.
