December 5th Severe Storms and Highlandville Tornado

Overview

A passing cold front brought strong to severe thunderstorms to portions of southern Missouri during the late evening of December 5th. An EF-1 tornado occurred near Highlandville and damaged multiple structures and trees. A few storms also produced large hail, with golf ball size hail reported just north of Blue Eye in Stone County.
