March of 2025 was a generally warm and windy month across south central and southeast Colorado. This brought increased fire danger to the snow free areas, as well as a few days with reduced visibility due to blowing dust across southern Colorado. A few passing weather systems did bring cooler temperatures and some precipitation, most notably a system on March 18th and 19th, which brought a period of heavy wind driven snow to portions of the southeast Plains. For the month as a whole, above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation was experienced across the region, save for a few spotty areas of above normal precipitation across the southeast Plains.
The following graphics depict monthly temperature and precipitation departures from normal across the state for the past month of March.
