Areas of Excessive Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorms on Tuesday

Heavy to excessive rainfall is forecast over north Texas into Oklahoma Tuesday. Locally catastrophic flooding will be possible across portions of southwest Oklahoma. Flood Watches have been issued. A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Kittitas Valley, valid 2PM to 8PM PDT Tuesday. Confidence is high (70-90%) in sustained winds of 25-35 mph and gusts up to 45 mph.
A shortwave trough will sweep across our region Tuesday with widespread showers and wind gusts of 30-40 mph across the Kittitas & Yakima valley, Simcoe Highlands, the Eastern Columbia River Gorge and Southern Blue Mtns-Foothills. There is a 30-50% chance of the wind gusts reaching to 45 mph for these areas as well.
