Severe Weather and Excessive Rainfall Across Portions of the Central U.S.; Heat Continues to Impact the West

Severe thunderstorms are expected Wednesday, particularly across parts of the Ozarks and Ohio Valley, and portions of the northern and central Plains. Excessive rainfall is forecast Wednesday in the Midwest which may bring areas of flash flooding. The Scituate Reservoir is an earth-filled dam that spans the North Branch of the Pawtuxet River.
Flows/Releases from this reservoir influence the river flows along the Pawtuxet River at Cranston, RI (CRAR1).
