Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Continue Tonight in the East; Early Heat Wave in the West

Scattered strong to severe storms with damaging winds and potentially a tornado or two are expected tonight from the coastal Carolinas into the Mid-Atlantic states. An anomalously early heat wave will continue to intensify and expand across the West and Southwest as the week progresses. NWS Marquette has restarted the seasonal Recreational Forecast product for Isle Royale National Park. Additionally, the product has been divided into four seperate zones to provide better and more accurate forecasts around the park.
