Three new buoys have been deployed along the southern shore of Lake Superior by Northern Michigan University through a grant from the Great Lakes Observing System. The three buoys are located near Granite Island, Pictured Rocks, and Grand Marais. Valuable wind and wave information, among other conditions, will be provided by the buoys well into fall, and again next year. You can find real-time data from these buoys here.
