Join us for the Marquette Water Safety Expo near the McCarty's Cove parking lot on Friday, September 2, 2016.  This event will run from 11 a.m. EDT to 4 p.m. EDT and include information from the Marquette National Weather Service, Michigan Sea Grant, the City of Marquette, YMCA, U.S. Coast Guard and NMU.  This event will showcase the following:

  • Available rescue equipment on the beaches near Marquette (City of Marquette-Fire Department)
  • Information about the beach forecast and the different types of beach hazards (NWS Marquette-MI Sea Grant
  • Beach safety and rescue information (US Coast Guard)
  • Recreational activities, safety information and information on classes that are available provided by YMCA-NMU
