Snow Expected from the Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic; Rain and Thunderstorms in the Southeast

A frontal system is expected to bring wintry precipitation to the Central Appalachians and portions of the Mid-Atlantic into Wednesday, meanwhile, showers and thunderstorms are expected along the Gulf Coast and Southeast. KMQT Radar Down for Transmitter Refurbishment Week of Sept 9-13, 2019:

 

 

This maintenance will replace the radar's signal processor, as well as replace older breakers and cables with more modern fuses and new cables.

 

This process is known as the Service Life Extension Program, or SLEP.
