Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure of 30.6 inches sprawled out over the
Mississippi River Valley is currently extending a 30.4 inch ridge
into the Great Lakes. The high and ridge will shift east tonight,
and by Saturday morning, the high will be located over the
southeast U.S. at a pressure of 30.6 inches. Meanwhile, a 29.8
inch low pressure trough will sweep east, reaching northern
Ontario tonight and Saturday. At a pressure of 30.0 inches, the
tail end of this trough will drift south over Lake Superior during
Saturday night. The trough will then quickly lift north on Sunday
as 29.2 inch low pressure moves out over the Prairie Provinces.
The low will then track east, reaching northern Ontario by Monday
morning and northern Quebec during Monday night. One associated
trough at 29.4 inches will cross Lake Superior early Monday
followed by a second at 29.6 inches early on Tuesday. In its wake,
a weak 29.9 inch high pressure ridge will reach Lake Superior
Tuesday evening.
