Additional Heavy Rain and Flooding Concerns in Central Texas; Tropical Storm Chantal to Impact the Coastal Carolinas

Heavy rainfall and flooding concerns remain for today across Central Texas and the Hill Country, with scattered thunderstorms expected this afternoon and evening. Tropical Storm Chantal has formed and will bring heavy rainfall and flooding concerns to portions of the coastal Carolinas. The KMPX radar in Chanhassen, MN is operational and fully-functional, but due to a communications issue that is being investigated, some vendors and users are not able to view the data. Our meteorologists have full access to the data and have been using it as normal for the creation of watches and warnings of severe storms. Technicians have been working this issue since Saturday and continue doing so. We apologize for the inconvenience as we continue to troubleshoot the root cause.
