Severe Thunderstorms in the East This Evening; Excessive Heat Lingers in the Southern U.S.

Scattered to numerous damaging wind gusts and isolated flash flooding is likely from severe thunderstorms across parts of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States into this evening. Large hail and damaging winds should also occur from southern Montana into western North Dakota.
