Remarks:

-Nov 26, 2015 - The day was warm, with many spots topping out in the 70s. However, a strong cold front moved through late in the day and temperatures plummeted into the 30s during the evening. A prolonged stretch of freezing rain, sleet and freezing drizzle followed through much of the Thanksgiving weekend.

-Nov 22, 2007 - Had the second measurable snow on record, with four tenths of an inch recorded. Some locations across the southern South Plains into the Permian Basin recorded 3 to 6 inches.

-Nov 27, 1980 - Had 7" of snow on ground left from a snowstorm that dumped nearly 11" two days before.

-Nov 24, 1938 - Coldest Thanksgiving morning on record at Lubbock with a low of 7 degrees.

-Nov 27, 1952 - Only Thanksgiving on record where the high temperature stayed below freezing. The mercury only rose to 28 degrees.
