Gusty Winds in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast; Atmospheric River to Impact the Northwest

Gusty winds are expected from portions of the Mid-Atlantic into the Northeast through the night following the system that brought rain to the area. An atmospheric river will move into the Northwest late today into Saturday bringing moderate to heavy rainfall, mountain snow, windy conditions, and high surf to the area over the weekend. WNG 689 Hebron, 162.450 MHz

NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio station WNG-689 serves northwest Indiana, including the Valpariaso, Hebron and Porter Township areas, from a 300 watt transmitter located in Hebron, IN. The nominal effective range of the transmitter is about 40 miles. Continuous 24 hour programming is provided from the National Weather Service Chicago Forecast Office, located southwest of Chicago in Romeoville Illinois.
