Severe Weather Threats Across the Plains; Dangerous Heat and Wildfire Concerns for the West; Watching the Tropics

Severe thunderstorms are expected across the Central Plains accompanied by damaging wind gusts and large hail. WxCoder, which is a program used by our cooperative observers to report their temperature and precipitation amounts, is currently suffering technical difficulties. Specialists are aware of the problem and hope to have it fixed soon.
