Severe thunderstorms producing damaging winds are most likely over parts of the Dakotas into Minnesota from this afternoon into the overnight, with other isolated storms producing hail or wind over the northern High Plains. Notes: This weak tornado did tree damage as it briefly touched down along Mount Pleasant Road northwest of Bedford, snapping upper-level tree branches in a narrow path. Occupants of a mobile home witnessed the tornado as it approached from the west, and they took shelter in their bathroom. While a large tree next to their home crushed a pickup truck as it came down, their home sustained minimal damage.
