Weather data availability at Lexington

For the past several days, weather observations have not been transmitted by the weather observing equipment at Blue Grass Airport. There is a telecommunications issue which is currently preventing the data from going out to the world, even though the weather observing equipment itself is still functioning normally. We have reported the issue to the FAA, which is in charge of maintaining the telecom networks; unfortunately, how quickly the connection is restored is at their discretion and out of our control.

In the meantime, if you would like live weather data from the Lexington area, the Kentucky Mesonet has two stations in Fayette County (https://www.kymesonet.org).
