Heat Continues for the East and South-Central U.S.; Strong to Severe Storms Across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast

The extremely dangerous heat wave continues across the East Coast and much of the South-Central U.S. today. Record high temperatures are expected for some areas especially across the Mid-Atlantic where extreme heat risk conditions reside. All of these photos were sent to us by Chris Leftwich in Paint Lick. In his e-mail he said, "Water in the buildings ranged from 5 inches to 5 feet. (My) office had three feet of water. The old-timers say this is the worst flood in terms of water depth ever. It beats the 1979 flood by several feet."
