80mph straight-line winds

Severe thunderstorm straight-line winds as high as 80 mph (equivalent to an EF1 tornado) struck New Washington on the evening of February 5.  Several homes along IN 62 had minor damage and a few trees were blown down.  In New Washington proper, most of the damage was on the south and east sides of town.  The worst damage occurred on Bethlehem Road just outside of town where a house completely lost its roof.  The roof was blown several dozen feet into fields behind the home.
