Heat Continues for the East and South-Central U.S.; Strong to Severe Storms Across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast

The extremely dangerous heat wave continues across the East Coast and much of the South-Central U.S. today. Record high temperatures are expected for some areas especially across the Mid-Atlantic where extreme heat risk conditions reside. Fall weather was quiet in 2020 in keeping with the theme for the rest of the year. There was almost no severe weather and the only snowfall was on the last day of the season. Probably the most significant event of this fall was the mini heat wave November 8-10 when many locations recorded highs in the 80s each day.
