Severe Thunderstorm Threat From the Central Plains to the Northeast; Extreme HeatRisk for the East Coast

There will be a total solar eclipse down visible from South America.  Totality will run from 4:38 to 4:44 PM EDT.  GOES-16 once again will be viewing this eclipse, and should look similar to the loop below we saved from the 2017 eclipse that ran across the U.S. August 21, 2017.
