Additional Heavy Rain and Flooding Concerns in Central Texas; Tropical Storm Chantal to Impact the Coastal Carolinas

Heavy rainfall and flooding concerns remain for today across Central Texas and the Hill Country, with scattered thunderstorms expected this afternoon and evening. Tropical Storm Chantal has formed and will bring heavy rainfall and flooding concerns to portions of the coastal Carolinas. Warning Coordination Meteorologist (WCM) Joe Sullivan attended a press conference where Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer declared the city snow ready. The press conference was attended by members of the Louisville Metro Snow Team which includes transportation cabinets, public works, school officials and students, airport snow removal, and members of the fire department. Joe predicts near normal snowfall amounts this upcoming winter, mostly in the form of small events.
