The record breaking heat will continue through late week before a cold front brings much more seasonable temperatures. In the meantime, many daily high temperature records will break. In addition, the all-time hottest October records will also likely break.

A historic September is in the books. It was the driest month (of ANY month) on record at Louisville and Lexington. It was also the hottest September on record at Louisville and Lexington, and the 3rd hottest September at Bowling Green.
