One of two inaugural meetings of the Central Sub-committee of the Kentucky Weather Preparedness Committee was held at Golden Corral in Elizabethtown, KY to discuss how various agencies and entities could partner to create a more Weather Ready Nation. Agencies and entities involved included NWS personnel, State Emergency Management, County Emergency Management, Corps of Engineers, KYTC, Television Media, and Kentucky Hospital Association.

The second inaugural meeting of the Central Sub-committee of the Kentucky Weather Preparedness Committee was held at Golden Corral in Richmond, KY. The mission of the Kentucky Weather Preparedness Committee is to promote, educate and increase weather awareness across the Commonweath.
