Dangerous Heat and Possible Flooding

Dangerous heat will persist across the Southwest U.S. through Saturday with daytime highs of 110-115°F. Extreme Heat Warnings remain in effect. The tornado was embedded in a swath of 70mph straight-line winds.  The tornado touched down about four miles northeast of Winchester between Gay Evans Road and Pretty Run Road.  Two barns were destroyed, three barns had substantial damage, a corn crib was destroyed, one house had structural damage, and many trees were uprooted or snapped.
