The highest measured amounts observed were in the Moss Bluff/Gillis area of Calcasieu Parish. One gauge recorded a total of 15.67 inches. There were two gauges that reported 3 hour totals around 8.3 inches between 9 PM and Midnight on the 20th. According to statistics developed by the Hydrometeorological Design Studies Center, this type of rainfall has a probability of between 0.5% and 1% occurring in any given year!
