REMARKS: USCOE AND USGS GAUGES DO NOT HAVE PREDICTED TIDE LEVELS
THEREFORE SURGE IS ESTIMATED USING PRE-STORM BASELINE. ESTIMATED
SURGE VALUES ARE DENOTED WITH AN E. ALSO OF NOTE...NOS GAUGES ARE
REFERENCED TO MHHW. THIS RESULTS IN A MAXIMUM SURGE VALUE GREATER
THAN THE MAXIMUM TOTAL WATER LEVEL IF THE MAXIMUM SURGE OCCURRED
OUTSIDE OF ASTRONOMICAL HIGH TIDE. FOR INSTANCE...THE PEAK TOTAL
WATER LEVEL MHHW AT SHELL BEACH WAS MEASURED AT 4.80 FEET. HOWEVER
BECAUSE IT OCCURRED JUST AFTER LOW TIDE...THE PREDICTED WATER
LEVEL AT THE SAME TIME WAS -1.27 FEET SO THE SURGE WAS 6.07 FEET.

OUTSIDE OF THE FEDERAL HURRICANE RISK REDUCTION SYSTEM. STORM
SURGE OF AROUND 2 FEET AFFECTED GRAND ISLE AND ALSO MOVED THROUGH
BARATARIA BAY AND LITTLE LAKE TO LAFITTE. AT GRAND ISLE...MDERATE
BEACH EROSION OCCURRED DUE TO STORM SURGE AND WAVE RUNUP. FLOODING
IN THE LAFITTE AREA WAS LIMITED TO ROADS AND LOW LYING PROPERTY.
INUNDATION DEPTH WAS GENERALLY ONE TO TWO FEET. NO HOMES OR
BUSINESSES WERE DAMAGED BY THE FLOODING.

LAFOURCHE            0                 0                      0
MODERATE IMPACTS TO AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE FEDERAL HURRICANE RISK
REDUCTION SYSTEM. LOW LYING ROADS IN THE LOWER PORTION OF THE

REDUCTION SYSTEM. STORM SURGE OF TWO TO FOUR FEET WAS MEASURED ON
THE EAST SIDE OF THE PARISH. ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE PARISH...A
LOCAL LEVEE WAS OVERTOPPED NEAR MYRTLE GROVE RESULTING IN MINOR
FLOODING OF LOW LAND PROPERTY. INUNDATION WAS GENERALLY ONE TO TWO
FEET BUT NO HOMES OR BUSINESSES WERE DAMAGED BY THE FLOODING.

ST. BERNARD          0                 0                      0
MODERATE IMPACTS TO AREAS OUTSIDE OF THE FEDERAL HURRICANE RISK
REDUCTION SYSTEM. STORM SURGE OF FOUR TO 6 FEET WAS MEASURED IN
COASTAL PORTIONS OF THE PARISH...RESULTING IN TWO TO THREE FEET
OF INUNDATION ON SOME LOW LYING ROADWAYS AND PROPERTIES. NO HOMES
OR BUSINESSES WERE DAMAGED.

ST. CHARLES          0                 0                      0

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST 0                 0                      0
MINOR IMPACTS DUE TO STORM SURGE. LOW LYING ROADWAYS NEAR FRENIER
INCLUDING OLD US HWY 51 WERE FLOODED WITH UP TO A FOOT OF WATER.
NO HOMES OR BUSINESSES WERE DAMAGED.

ST. TAMMANY          0                 0                      0
MINOR IMPACTS DUE TO STORM SURGE AND HEAVY RAINFALL. PERSISTENT
AND STRONG ONSHORE FLOW RESULTED IN WATER RISING TO APPROXIMATELY
TWO TO THREE FEET ABOVE NORMAL FROM SLIDELL TO MADISONVILLE.
NUMEROUS ROADS BECAME IMPASSIBLE DUE TO HIGH WATER AND WATER WAS
PUSHED INTO A FEW BUSINESSES ALONG THE MANDEVILLE LAKEFRONT.
HEAVY RAIN ALSO FELL ACROSS MAINLY THE SOUTHEAST REACH OF THE
PARISH. REPORTS FROM AROUND SLIDELL INDICATE FOUR TO SIX INCHES
OF RAIN FELL DURING THE STORM...MOSTLY DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS
OF JUNE 20 INTO JUNE 21.

TANGIPAHOA           0                 0                      0
NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT.

TERREBONNE           0                 2                      0
MINOR IMPACTS DUE TO STORM SURGE. LOW LYING ROADWAYS SOUTH OF

MISSISSIPPI
--------------------------------------------------------------------
HANCOCK              0                 0                      0
MODERATE IMPACTS MAINLY TO THE COASTAL PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY
AROUND BAY ST. LOUIS. STORM SURGE LED TO FLOODING OF HUNDREDS OF
STREETS NEAR THE COAST...ESPECIALLY IN THE SHORELINE PARK AREA.
MAXIMUM FLOOD DEPTH WAS AROUND THREE FEET ON SOME LOW LYING ROADS.
NO HOMES OR BUSINESSES WERE FLOODED.

HARRISON             0                 0                      0
MODERATE IMPACTS MAINLY DUE TO STORM SURGE AND HEAVY RAINFALL.
STORM SURGE OF APPROXIMATELY 3 FEET LED TO BEACH EROSION ALONG
BOTH THE BARRIER ISLANDS AND THE ACTUAL COASTLINE. NEAR GULFPORT
THE BEACH WAS ERODED ALL THE WAY TO THE SEAWALL IN SOME PLACES.
THE STORM ALSO DUMPED EIGHT TO TWELVE INCHES OF RAIN ACROSS MUCH
OF THE COUNTY LEADING TO FLASH FLOODING. THE HEAVY RAIN ALSO
CAUSED THE BILOXI RIVER TO RISE ABOVE MODERATE FLOOD STAGE. ON
THE MORNING OF JUNE 21 A WATERSPOUT MOVED ON SHORE NEAR BILOXI
CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO TREES...POWERLINES AND ROOFS.

JACKSON              0                 0                      0
SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS MAINLY DUE TO HEAVY RAINFALL. A PERSISTENT
BAND OF HEAVY RAINFALL SET UP JUST EAST OF THE JACKSON AND
HARRISON COUNTY LINE OVERNIGHT WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY
MORNING. SEVERAL OBSERVERS IN THE OCEAN SPRINGS AREA RECORDED SIX
TO TEN INCHES OF RAIN FROM THE BAND. HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE COUNTY
AND IN THE COUNTIES JUST NORTH LED TO BOTH FLASH FLOODING AND
RIVER FLOODING. THE ESCATAWPA RIVER NEAR GRAHAM FERRY CRESTED
JUST BELOW MODERATE FLOOD STAGE...AND AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE HAD TO
BE RESCUED WHEN THEY DROVE THEIR TRUCK AROUND A BARRICADE
THROUGH A FLOODED ROADWAY. A FEW HOMES SUFFERED MINOR DAMAGE DUE
TO THE FLOODING.
