Elevated heat stress concerns will continue through this evening as heat index values rise well into the 105 to 110 degree range each day. Be sure to take necessary precautions with any prolonged outdoor activity.

Showers and storms will increase across the area today with the highest chance in eastern Mississippi. It will be hot and humid with highs in the middle to upper 90s.

Isolated to scattered storms will continue into the overnight hours. Lows will range from the lower to middle 70s.

Scattered to numerous showers and storms will be present on Thursday as a frontal boundary moves southwards into the region. Highs will be lower, with temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
